How to Get the Most Out of Your Process Server

If you have a legal case pending, chances are you are looking forward to its conclusion. You don’t want anything to stand in the way of your case moving forward. A good private process server is worth their weight in gold, but sometimes they may be able to move faster with service with a little bit of help from  you. Here are some ways you can get the most out of your process server.

Giving as Much Information as Possible

The more information you can give your process server about the person to be served, the faster they will be able to effect service. Your process server will automatically ask for the address of their place of residence and employment. You can help your process server move more quickly by giving them additional locations where your party can be served. This may include regularly scheduled activities or social events.

Additional information about the person to be served can also be helpful if the addresses you have are no longer valid. Skip tracing can be made much easier if you have the person’s social security number, date of birth, and other vital information.

Giving Updates

If you discover through mutual friends or family that your party has moved or changed jobs, make sure that you relay that information to your process server. While the process server will be able to find this information on their own, it will be much faster (and cheaper) for you to update them with the knowledge you have of their whereabouts.

If you have legal papers that you need served, we can help. We will walk you through the entire process, ask the appropriate questions, and move forward with service as quickly as possible. Contact us today for more information or to get started.
